Is BSNL 4g available in Himachal Pradesh?
Himachal Pradesh is going to join BSNL 's 4G service for the first time . BSNL Chief General Manager Arun Agarwal on Tuesday held a press conference in Shimla to launch Hydata Speed 4G. After the launch of 4G, 4G services have started from today in many places of the state. BSNL has launched 4G for the purpose of providing good internet service in rural areas. A target has been set to connect the entire state with 4G services by January 2020.

Chief General Manager Arun Agarwal said that launching programs were organized in Kullu, Mandi, Dharamshala and Solan. With the launching, 4G services will start in the state. By January 26, preparations have been made to add more and more areas.
What is BSNL student plan?
BSNL offers Students Special Plan in Himachal Pradesh circle. Priced at Rs. 118, the Student Special Plan has a validity of 365 days and as of now BSNL is also offering 1GB data for initial 30 days and Rs. 100 talk time as well.

Apart from the freebies, all BSNL Student Special Plan users would get Full Talk Time on Rs. 500, 550, 1000,1100, 2000, 3000 and 5500 only. Talking about the tariffs, BSNL Student Plan users can make all Local Calls (BSNL & other network) at just 10p/min and all STD Calls (BSNL & other network) at just 30p/min, the tariff validity is 365 days as shared earlier.

The main highlight of the Student Special Plan is the Friends & Family Feature:

  • The F&F facility with Student special plan for two local numbers (Mobile/LL/GSM/CDMA) (on-net/off-net) with tariff of 10p/min for local on-net F&F number and 20p/min for local off-net local F&F number.
  • The F&F number can be any combination of on-net/off-net local numbers.
  • Registration of each F&F number/change of each F&F number will be charged @Rs. 5/change or Rs. 5/registration.
  • The tariff offered for F&F number will be applicable in Home LSA only. If number under student special plan is in roaming then base tariff will be applicable for calling to F&F number also i.e no reduced tariff of 10p/min for local on-net F&F number and 20p/min for local off-net local F&F number.
Earlier – BSNL, the state owned Largest Telecom Operator, has launched a new Special Student Plan for its customers in Himachal Pradesh Circle. The new Student Plan has been named Student Azadi Plus Plan that comes for Rs. 56 (including SIM & FRC) and offers Talk Time of Rs. 50, Validity of 365 Day, 100 Local & 100 National SMS & 150 MB of Data Usage. In terms of tariffs tough it doesn't offer much but Local BSNL to BSNL calls during Day would be charged 25p/min and during Night would cost 10p/min.
What is the validity plan of BSNL?
The state-owned telecom company has revised the validity of its four prepaid plans - Rs 118, Rs 187, Rs 349 and Rs 399. The company has basically cut short the validity of these four plans with the benefits remaining unchanged.

The Rs 118 BSNL prepaid plan that previously came with 28 days of validity, now comes with 21 days of validity. It offers unlimited calls, 0.5 GB data per day, and 100 SMS per day.

The Rs 187 prepaid plan has been tweaked to come with 24 days of validity instead of 26 days. The rest of the benefits remain unaltered. It offers unlimited calls, 3 GB data per day, and 100 SMS per day.

The validity of Rs 349 prepaid recharge has also been reduced from 64 days to 56 days which is a major cut down. The benefits under the plan remain the same- unlimited calls, 2 GB per day data, and 100 SMS per day.

Last but not least you have the Rs 399 recharge plan. BSNL has reduced the validity of this plan from 74 days to 65 days which is again a big cut down. The benefits under the plan remain the same- unlimited calls, 2 GB per day data, and 100 SMS per day.

According to a DreamDTH report, BSNL has reduced the validity of not just these four plans but also some FRC plans, Smart plans, unlimited data STVs and more. The report claims that the Eros Now plan priced at Rs 98 which offers 1.5GB data per day now comes with 18 days of validity instead of 20 days and the Rs 198 PRBT plan, which offers 2 GB data per day is now valid for 45 days instead of 54 days. The Combo STV that costs Rs29 and offers 1 GB data with 300 SMS is now valid for 4 days instead of 5 days.
How can I activate BSNL 56 data plan?
BSNL has announced that this newly launched STV will be effective starting May 13, 2019. The new Rs 56 STV from BSNL will bundle 1.5GB daily data to the subscribers. The validity of this STV will be for 14 days. Apart from this, BSNL has not informed of any other benefit which means that the STV will only avail data benefit to the users. Another thing to note is that currently, this STV will only be available in Tamil Nadu and Chennai circle. Subscribers who would like to recharge with this STV would be able to do so with the self-care keyword STV DATA56. Additionally, they will be able to use C-Top-Up or the Web Portal to recharge their number with this new STV.
