Under the Rs 299 plan, Airtel users get Amazon Prime membership, unlimited calls to any network, 100SMS per day, and 2.5GB data/day. This plan comes with a validity of 28 days. In total, the new Rs 299 plan from Airtel offers 70GB data for 28 days. It must be noted that this isn't the first Airtel plan that comes bundled with Amazon Prime membership. Airtel Infinity Postpaid Plans also offers Prime membership to subscribers.
It appears with the latest Airtel Rs 299 plan the telecom operator aims to compete with its rival Reliance Jio. To recall, Jio also offers a Rs 299 prepaid plan to its users. Under the Rs 299 Jio plan, users get unlimited voice calls, 3GB 4G data per day, 100SMS per day, and complimentary subscription to Jio Apps.
Jio's Rs 299 plan comes with a validity of 28 days that is similar to the Airtel Rs 299 plan. In total Jio's Rs 299 plan offers more than when compared to Airtel's plan. For 28 days the Jio plan offers a total of 84GB 4G data, while the Airtel plan offers 70GB. So in data war, the Jio plan seems to win the competition by offering 14GB more data to its subscribers.
